This is "American Parlor Kaleidoscope Series II" by Tom Raredon and Stephen Auger. This is a limited edition scope from 1985 that was closed a 350. This is a solid brass parlor scope on an oval Walnut base. The barrel of the scope is an acid-etched, coppered brass cylinder that measures 10-3/4"L x 3-1/8" in diameter. It is mounted on a solid brass pedestal with an adjustable viewing angle. This scope has a 2-mirror system and produces a highly detailed, crisp and clear 8-point image. There is a turning end, end-lit, dry object cell that includes lampworked glass by Stephen Auger and semi-precious crystals. There is a magnifying lens in the eyepiece. This scope on the stand measures 15"T x 12"L x 7"W and it weighs 6 lbs. There is plaque on the bottom of the stand that reads "American Parlor Kaleidoscope Series II, Tom Raredon Metalwork, Tom Raredon & Stephen Auger, 286 of 350".
